A Simple Summer Giving Challenge

The Challenge
The goal of the 30 for 30 Challenge is for 100 people to automate their giving for the next 30 weeks (by June 30) to invest in the spiritual growth of our church, be aggressive in reaching new people and strengthen our church in the face of a new, challenging economy. When everyone is involved, more lives are impacted by Jesus and the faith of our church grows exponentially!
How to Reach the Goal
There are 3 ways you can take the 30 or 30 Challenge:
- Weekly Challenge: Automate your giving to give $30 a week for the next 30 weeks. That's just $4 a day... or the cost of a Starbucks coffee.
- Monthly Challenge: Automate your giving to give $250 a month for the next 7 months. That's just $8 a day... or less than the price of a burrito.
- Personalized Challenge: Automate your giving according to what God lays on your heart.
“You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. ‘For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.’” - 2 Corinthians 9:7
What If I Already Automate?
If you have already automated your giving...way to go! You can take the 30 for 30 Challenge by increasing your giving by $30 a week or $250 a month... or by whatever amount God lays on your heart. Let this challenge be an opportunity for you to increase your giving and your faith! Simply choose your amount and frequency and create a new automated gift for the 30 for 30 Challenge.
Why Take the 30 for 30 Challenge?

We automate the things we don’t want to neglect - our phone bill, subscriptions, rent, and utilities. Jesus said, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Automating your giving is a practical way to say: “Jesus, You are first in my life.” And when you do that, it positions you for spiritual growth and blessing.
2. Help Reach More People for Jesus this Summer
We want this summer to be a summer of OUTREACH at The Journey – where we reach more New Yorkers with the love of Jesus than ever before. From our God on Film series and free movie ticket giveaway… to summer outreach projects, serving opportunities, and Beach Baptisms… lives are going to change. Together, we can invest boldly in reaching more people with the hope of Jesus.
3. Strengthen Our Church for the Future
We’re living in an uncertain economy with inflation and financial pressure everywhere. But consistent generosity positions our church to plan boldly, serve aggressively, and continue making an eternal impact no matter what happens around us.
