(Part of The NExT Initiative)
The 2024 Special Missions Offering (part of the NExT Initiative) is a call to sacrificial giving with a goal of $224,000 to fund four vitally important ministry and mission areas in our church for 2024:

- Securing the Future of The Journey Church through The NExT Initiative... (Doubling our ministry impact & providing for a permanent meeting location in the heart of NYC)
- Sharing the Love of Jesus with a Lost and Broken World... (Moscow Christian Seminary, Servant Evangelism, Church Planting)
- Serving Those in Need in our City and Around the World... (Hope Schools in South Africa, Rikers Island Prison, Relief Bus, Graffiti Community Ministries)
- Supporting Our Journey Church Family by Meeting Spiritual & Physical Needs... (Benevolence & Counseling Ministry, Family Ministry, Kids & Youth Ministries)

The Four Purposes of the 2024 Special Missions Offering
Purpose #1: Securing the Future of The Journey Church through The NExT Initiative
- Investing the future ministry and mission of The Journey Church.
- Doubling the ministry impact of The Journey Church over the next 20 years.
- Providing for a permanent meeting location and ministry center for The Journey Church in the heart of NYC.
Purpose #2: Sharing the Love of Jesus with a Lost and Broken World
- By supporting missionaries and church planters in the U.S. and around the globe who are taking the Gospel to people in the most unreached areas.
- By continuing our partnership with The Moscow Seminary to help them equip and train new pastors to share the gospel in one of the most unreached areas of the world – the nations of the former Soviet Union (Russia, Ukraine, and more).
- By reaching the people of NYC with the love of Jesus through outreach, Servant Evangelism and other creative evangelism efforts across our city.
Purpose #3: Serving Those in Need in our City and Around the World
- Meeting the spiritual and physical needs of the less fortunate in NYC through Inner-City and Community Ministry (including Graffiti Community Ministries and the Relief Bus).
- Showing God’s love to the most forgotten by providing Christmas presents and essential items for every inmate at Rikers Island Prison (6,613 inmates).
- By continuing our missions partnership in South Africa to help children living in poverty and impacted by COVID/HIV/AIDS through First City Baptist Church and their growing Christian school – Hope Schools.
Purpose #4: Supporting Our Journey Church Family by Meeting Spiritual & Physical Needs
- By investing in the next generation through the spiritual growth of our children, teens and families as we reach and serve more families, children and teenagers than ever before.
- By funding the 2023 Benevolence & Counseling Ministry of the church (to assist those facing a personal or family crisis or emergency and need assistance).
- Providing necessary upgrades for our in-person services in Times Square and Church Online and funding for any new ministry initiatives.

Why Now?
The Journey Church began as a church here in New York City in 2002. As we reflect on all that God has done in and through our church – including over 3,200 baptisms, countless lives changed, thousands of needs met and millions of people shown God’s love in meaningful ways – it is time to dream big about what God might have in store for the NExT 20 years and beyond.
If not now, when? God has blessed our church and we have grown spiritually and numerically. Now is the time to dream big dreams and to begin preparing The Journey for ministry in NYC for generations to come. And a permanent ministry facility can be a big part of that.
