YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

EXPLORE HOW YOU CAN BEGIN SERVING AT THE JOURNEY

Each week at The Journey people just like you give their time to serve. Whether it’s helping kids learn about Jesus on their level at JourneyKidz, welcoming first-time guests and attenders, volunteering in the office during the week, or serving in one of the areas of the Worship Arts Team, every volunteer is making a difference.

Welcome Team

The Welcome Team specializes in helping people feel like they belong at The Journey from the moment a person walks on campus at the church.  By offering a warm smile, helping someone find a seat, or being the welcoming face that a guest sees when they arrive, the Welcome Team offers opportunities to serve in a variety of areas, either before, during or after the service. Journey Kidz Team

Journey Kidz is designed to teach children about Jesus on their level in a safe, fun, spiritually-enriching environment. Each week infants–5th grade children are taught the Bible in a creative, age-appropriate way while building relationships with trained, screened, and background checked adult volunteers and peers. We have weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly serving opportunities in Journey Kidz. And don’t worry, no teaching experience necessary. We’ll provide everything you need to have a great time and inspire our kids. Click the button below to learn more about how you can get involved!

Worship Arts Team

The Worship Arts Team is comprised of musicians, vocalists, audio engineers, camera operators, and so many more, participating in and producing services on any given day of the week that point people to the name of Jesus and His gospel.

Worship Team

If you’re an experienced musician, vocalist, dancer, artist, or performer, use your God-given talents in upcoming productions, events, or worship services. Our aim is to point at the Lord and say “Look! Look, how great He is!”

Production Team

If you are interested to learn or have experience with the various areas of production, this team is behind the scenes helping to deliver the Word and Worship to thousands through audio, video, lighting, and other visual elements. We desire to put people over production in the way we serve, valuing the experience of the person and how we can assist in guiding them toward God.  We are here to serve the congregation, the musicians, our team members, and our pastors.

Prayer Team

You can make a difference. Explore how you can serve as part of The Journey’s Prayer Team. With our Prayer Team, people just like you come together  to pray for our services that day, for our church, city, nation and world and for individual prayer requests from the church.

Community Service

The Journey Church believes in showing the Love of God in a practical way, and now more than ever we believe that God is giving us the opportunity to show hope to our city. As a church and a city, we want you to know you are not alone.

A couple of practical ways that we serve our community is through our partnerships in NYC with City Relief and the Relief Bus as well as Graffiti Ministries and Free Lunch in the Park.

Both of these ministries help by serving meals to the less fortunate in our city.  It is a meaningful way to serve and give back.

If you would like to help meet needs and can assist in working with our church’s inner-city partners to help feed the less fortunate, please let us know.
